Tissot has resurrected the PRC 100 as a solar quartz with an innovative light capture technology. First introduced in the mid 2000s with a dodecagonal bezel, it has been reintroduced as a 39 or 34 mm GADA watch.

There are 5 versions of the 39mm, a silver dial with either a leather strap or stell bracelet, a blue dial with braclet or a PVD coated black version with a black dial and either strap or PVD coated bracelet. The 34 mm model will be released later in the year including steel versions with silver or light blue dials and a rose gold PVD version.
Tissot’s new Lightmaster technology incorporates a honeycomb layer of solar cells into the sapphire crystal rather than the dial, giving it the ability to absorb both natural and artificial light.
It’s a good looking watch, with a modern spin on the PRC 100’s dodecagonal bezel, rather than the retro look of the PRX and the 20mm lug width makes it more versatile. Its a great take on the trend for geometric sports style watches and the solar technology makes it very covenient.
